Privacy Policy
1. Data Collection
We collect location data to provide mileage tracking services. This includes GPS coordinates, distance traveled, and timestamps. If you create an account, we collect your email address and user ID provided by Apple or Google.
2. Data Storage & Syncing
- Free users: Trip data is stored locally on your device only.
- Subscribed users: Trip data is securely synced to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) associated with your account.
- Vehicle information: Business names, vehicle details, or plate numbers you enter in Settings are stored on your device and may be included in reports you share.
3. How We Use Data
Data is used exclusively to calculate your mileage, generate reports, and provide cloud backup services. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
The app uses:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication and cloud database for subscribers
- Apple Sign In / Google Sign In — account sign-in
- Apple App Store — subscription billing
These providers process data according to their own privacy policies.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
You have control over your data:
- Local data: Delete individual trips in the History tab (if enabled in Settings) or remove all local data by deleting the app.
- Cloud data: Signed-in users can use Delete Account & Cloud Data in Settings to permanently remove their Firebase account and synced trips.
6. Location Permissions
Tracking requires location permission (“While Using the App” or “Always”). We use location only when you start a trip and while tracking is active.
